StumbleUpon is defined as a social bookmarking website, this means is that when you bookmark a website using the free service it is shared with other StumbleUpon users and they also have the option to bookmark the site and give it a thumbs up with an optional review and this in-turn get promoted to other StumbleUpon users. If you promote the right type of interesting content it can go viral and send thousands of visitors to your website.

I’ve been using this method for about two years and it always provides some traffic, and occasionally a shed load of traffic. It all depends on what kind of content you have on your website.
